Sjøormen Kro

About

"Where new ideas and traditional Norwegian food come together"

Since the beginning in 1973, we have had a passion for homemade food with roots in Norwegian traditions. We wish to show that traditional food can be both inventive and exiting, and not the least, it should be easy and good value to choose good quality food.

Sjøormen Kro is strategically situated along E 134 in Seljord, in the center of the “Kingdom of the sea snake”. We even have our own sea snake in the cafeteria, even if it’s just a copy of the mystical figure that has been seen from time to time in the water close by.

The cafeteria is easy to find, and it has parking space for cars and bigger vehicles. The area is handicap friendly with its own handicap parking space and handicap toilet. From July 2016 it will also be possible to charge electric vehicles at the cafeteria.

The premises has a cozy and friendly atmosphere, and facilitates up to 150 people inside, and 50 people outside.

Catering

In addition, Sjøormen Kro also has its own catering business which caters to companies, arrangements and private customers. It offers both ready to order menus and tailoring. We have capacity to serve over 3000 persons, and can help you with planning, serving and everything else around your event, in addition to fantastic food. Please contact us for more information, or visit our website to see menus and prices.

We wish you very welcome to a friendly Norwegian experience with lots of good food.

For people passing by, this is by far the better option of roadside cafés in Seljord. The food is plenty (large plates), and the price ok. There is also a good selection of dishes, with a children´s... Read full review

Located on the highway, this was the only good restaurant we could find on the road from Odda towards Kongsberg with ease. It was clearly built to cater to travelers. It was a self-service restaurant... Read full review

One of the few self-service restaurants on E134. Just had cake slice which was bit stale. You can eat outside on nice day. Read full review
