Booking - Telemark Canal
Experience an historical journey on the Telemark Canal by canal boat. Cruises from 2 - 11 hours.
3 canal boats run the Telemark Canal within the period May 18th to September 21st (time table).

M/S Vistoria and M/S Henrik Ibsen run between Skien and Dalen. The whole journey one way takes approx. 10 hours, meaning that every day during the season one boat goes up the canal and the other goes down.
NB: Mondays differs from the regular schedule, when M/S Victoria runs Skien-Lunde-Skien, and M/S Henrik Ibsen runs Dalen-Lunde-Dalen. - M/S Telemarken runs Akkerhaugen-Lunde-Akkerhaugen, where one way takes 3,5 hours.
Day trips and canal packages
Below you can book tickets for the boats only. However, we do offer tailor made day trips where you can combine your boat cruise with a return by bus for example. Or if you would like to include an over night stay in one of the hotels or other types of accommodation nearby the canal.
NB! Imortant message concerning too much water in the Telemark Canal!
Due to heavy rain fall and large amounts of melting snow from the mountains, the water level is now too high for cruises on the Telemark Canal. All traffic has been cancelled until further notice. Passengers who have made reservations in advance has been or will be contacted for further information. Please check www.facebook.com/Telemarkskanalen for updates on the situation.
