A hotel out of the ordinary in Nissedal

For those who want to experience an accommodation out of the ordinary, a stay at Canvas Hotel in Nissedal is to be recommended. Deep in the middle of nowhere in the deep forest of Western Telemark you find replicas of Mongolian yurts, the traditional dwellings of the Mongol people.
The yurts are adjusted to modern tourists but still in original materials. The terrain is superb for off-road bicycling and nice tracks have been arranged in the terrain around the yurts. Chefs are hired to cook delicious meals from local produce and guides take you around the tracks. The price is about NOK 5.000,- per day all inclusive.
