Kviteseid
The Kviteseid commune is lying in the middle of Telemark. The country side is pressed of the Telemark and Arendal canal. The mountains and beautiful nature invites to all kind of leisure activities summer like winter.
The municipal centre of Kviteseid is lying between the tourist towns Vrådal and Morgedal.
The economy of the commune is dedicated of tourism, agriculture, small industry, commerce and public services. Kviteseid has a long tradition as administration centre due to its central location within Western Telemark and to the Telemark canal.

The commune of Kviteseid consists of different tourist centres like for example Vrådal, Morgedal and Kviteseid which is landing place to the canal boats MS Victoria and MS Henrik Ibsen.
Vrådal is a tourist place with a more than 140 years old tradition. Today you will find 2 Hotels and a great variety of holiday apartments and cabins for rental. Currently are already 1200 guest beds available and even more are about to come under the ongoing construction of cabbages around Vrådal Ski centre and other places.
Morgedal is formed like an amphitheatre where the central part is dominated by a small lake surrounded by steep and during the winter months snow covert mountains. Morgedalstjønni is lying at a height of 430 m and together with the surrounding mountains with a height up to 1100 m the climate up there is typical with cold and snowy winters and moderate temperate summer.
