For most people Kragerø is know as the ”summer town of Telemark” with it's narrow streets and romantic skipper houses. And that is exactly that what Kragerø is. But the town has yet a lot more to offer – all year round.

Kragerø - the pearl of the coastal towns – is located in the southern part of Telemark where the fantastic Southern coast line begins. The charming town with it's narrow streets has ever since attract artists of all kind. The very special lighting conditions in Kragerø inspired already Edward Munch to paint his famous paintings “The Sun” and “History”.

Kragerø is surrounded by beautiful nature and a fantastic archipelago. Whereas in the town centre itself you will find everything from small boutiques, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

The centre of Kragerø is located directly at the boat harbour and there are only a few minutes walk to recreation areas with nice beaches and salt water pools. The archipelago along the coast is an experience of itself. There is a total number of 495 islands, holms and skerries awaiting to be explored.

Kragerø has lots more to offer than idyllic streets and a beautiful archipelago. All around the town there are lot’s of recreation areas with many pretty lakes and ponds – perfect for hiking tours, paddling and fishing.
