Bicycling

Telemark is perfect for bicycling. The variations are many and the possibilities are almost indefinite, when it comes to combining biking with other means of transport.

One of the most scenic cycle route follows the the spectacular Telemark Canal which stretches 115 km from Skien to Dalen, through a variety of landscapes and interesting cultural sights. Cycling on Hardangervidda is also one of the most beautiful routes in Norway, stretching into Norway’s largest national park with a magnificient view in all directions.

On the south coast of Telemark you can follow the national cycle route No 1, passing through the charming coastal towns of Langesund and Brevik. Finally Telemark offers excellent mountain biking (MTB) in Nissedal and downhill cycling in Vrådal.
